the Four Tetramorphs of
the gospels

2019: Concept & Illustration

Bible Society is a charity on a global mission to bring the Bible to life for every man, woman and child. With this project, the aim was to create illustrations for the four gospels of the Bible, utilising the ‘tetramorph’ - that is, the four characters representative of each one of the gospels - Matthew an Angel, Mark a Lion, Luke an Ox and John an Eagle. The final short books are going to be used in prisons across the country, the brief was to be modern looking, but inherit a warm depth as the gospels do to most of the people that will be receiving a copy.

The photography had a vintage Kodak treatment to give it that well known, depth alongside a geometric rendering of each tetramorph.
